Last November 29, our educational community was filled with elegance and spirituality as we accompanied a group of our students in their first encounter with the Eucharist. The ceremony, marked by joy and reflection, represents a fundamental milestone in the holistic education we provide at our school, where academic growth always goes hand in hand with the strengthening of the spirit.
A Journey of Preparation and Commitment
This important step was not accidental. It was the result of a rigorous and reflective catechesis process led by Mr. Marlon Rojas, teacher of Social Sciences and Philosophy. Under his guidance, the students explored the meaning of Christian values and the importance of the sacrament in their lives.
It is also important to highlight the role of families, who provided constant support throughout this process, reaffirming that education is a joint effort between school and home.
A Ceremony with an Institutional Seal
The celebration took place at Santa María La Antigua Parish, in a liturgy full of symbolism and beauty. A particularly meaningful detail for our institution was that the ceremony was presided over by Father Silverio, current parish priest of the area and proud alumnus of José Joaco.
In his homily, Father Silverio Suárez fondly recalled his roots in our school and encouraged the children to keep alive the flame of faith they received on this special day.
“As an institution, we are proud to see our students grow not only in knowledge, but also in values and spirituality, preparing to become upright citizens at the service of society.”
Congratulations to all the boys and girls who received the Sacrament of Communion!
